As you know, the original habitat of rainbow trouts is the North America. They are cultured widely in Japan, but natural spawning is rare. Swimming rainbows in lakes and rivers are stocked fishes. I do not know why they can never spawn naturally. Someday I hope to fish native ones in America.
Although they are not native, stocked rainbows have recovered their wild nature in rivers. Rainbows are very popular in our country.
Both of rainbows in photo 1 and 2 were caught in the Agano River. They fighted and I enjoyed fishing.
