Seabass Fishing in October (3)

Inside of the Bay of Niigata East Port

I told about the new fishing spot ; inside of the bay area of Niigata East Port. On October 12 and 14, I only got thin fishes. But in this time I could fish nice seabasses well. Autumn seems to make fishes fattened.

I went to the bay after a long time. It was dark and silent. I was afraid that seabasses were there yet. I turned the look to a big ship and found its name. It was "CONFIDENCE". I believed that this was a revelation of God. He seemed to tell me that I should do things with more confidence.

Look at P1c.1 and 2. I could fish two good seabasses, one in Pic.1 was of 65 cm in length and 2.0 Kg in weight, the other was of 76 cm in length and 2.9 Kg in weight. I know these were the blessing of God.

I got a seabass of 58 cm in length and 1.3 Kg in weight in that dawn ( Pic.3 ). I found that the speed of lure-retrieving should be very slow in the darkness. You had better rotate the handle of your reel very slowly, slowly to the extent that lures do not swim well.

I luckily fished a seabass of 64 cm in length and 1.9 Kg in weight in that dawn ( Pic.4 ). Its body was silver and very beautiful. I saw that conditions of fishes were recovered.

In that morning before dawn, I got a ranker sized seabass ( Pic.5 ). Its length was 81 cm and weight 3.7 Kg. I felt I was lucky. In Pic.6 I hold the ranker. It was cold and I was clothed thickly.

In that morning before dawn, I got two seabasses. The first one was a really good ranker ; its length was 87 cm and weight 5.4 Kg. The ranker before that day was relatively thin, but this one was not. It fought well. I hold it in Pic.8.

The other seabass I fished was in Pic.9 ; the length was 61 cm and the weight 1.7 Kg. That morning was one of good mornings in autumn in 2002.

My impressions about fishing in this bay

Described before, I have never fished seabass in a bay like this. I was surprised that it was very easy to fish. I needed no tecnique. All I need was just only slow retrieving.

I decided to continue seabass fishing in this spot next month. I will tell you soon about it.
